  • Cost: TBC
  • Presenter: Christine Higgins NZROT

Christine is an NZ trained OT with over 30 years work experience in both NZ and the UK. She has worked part time as a Community OT for the past 15 years, where housing modifications are an acknowledged area of her expertise.

This one day course is intended for those new to prescribing home adaptations, or those wishing to improve their skills in this area.

Occupational Therapists attending this course will:

  • Be able to describe the common functional consequences of major disabling conditions most likely to require home adaptations
  • Develop key report writing skills for funding applications
  • Reflect on the main areas to assess a typical home environment
  • Be introduced to basic building terminology as it relates to home adaptations

To lodge your advance expression of interest in this course, please email Christinehigg@gmail.com.

Include your full name, phone numbers and describe your level of experience in this field (50 word max).

"Christine have been extremely helpful along every step of the way. They are both dedicated to make it as easy as possible for you, which, for me was very pertinent as I was travelling alone. Their in-depth knowledge of the New Zealand health care system and factors contributing towards working in New Zealand has been tremendous. I would recommend them to any health care professional coming to New Zealand. If you want a reliable and knowledgeable source, choose eNZed Paramedical."

— Claire, Physiotherapist from England, UK
